Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has warned that his side still have improvements to make amid a strong return to form in the Premier League and Champions League.
The Blues enjoyed a solid start to the season, winning seven and drawing one of their first eight games. Indeed, that run came following the UEFA Super Cup triumph over Villarreal.
However, successive defeats to Manchester City and Juventus threw Thomas Tuchel’s men off course.
Nevertheless, wins over Southampton, Brentford and Malmo – the latter in Wednesday’s Champions League clash – have got Chelsea back on track.
Their Premier League form, consisting of only one draw and one defeat so far, sees them sit top. Chelsea are one point ahead of Liverpool and two ahead of Manchester City.
