Giroud defends himself against critics of his Arsenal career

Former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has backed his goal record of 105 goals in 253 games at the Gunners.

The Frenchman repeatedly produced moments of magic while playing as Arsenal’s center forward, yet he remained a subject of criticism for much of his career in North London.

Additionally, as Giroud kept on improving, there were persistent reports of Arsenal hunting for his replacement. The Frenchman has now admitted it he was aware and it hurt him.

“Of course it hurts. I’m a human being, a person with emotions and the most important thing is not to pay attention to what people say on social media,” Giroud told the Mirror.
