Former footballer Edson Arantes de Nascimento 'Pele' on Thursday congratulated Brazilian striker Rodrygo on his brace that put Real Madrid into the Champions League final and said he's an "enlightened man" who is still going to "carry quite a few pleasure".
"I always knew the day to congratulate you'll come, my pal. There is no other way for those who work hard and love what they do. You are enlightened and you will still deliver us many joys," Pele said in a post on his Instagram account, along with a picture with the young Brazilian carrying a Brazil country wide team shirt.
The man taken into consideration through many to be the best player of the 20th century also congratulated Real Madrid after their 3-1 greater-time comeback win over Manchester City, with Rodrygo scoring a brace a minute into stoppage time and Karim Benzema scoring a penalty in greater time.
