United's impressive comeback under Ten Hag follows back-to-back defeats against Brighton and Brentford to begin the season. The former Ajax coach has been pleased with how his players have gradually adapted to his demands throughout the season.
Ten Hag believes his players now have the confidence to play until the end, regardless of the score. "Teams need experience to develop that mentality, that belief that the game is only over when the referee blows the final whistle," he says. "To stay in the game, you have to build that, and experiences like (the derby) help you improve even more and push it to a higher level."
