Neymar shocked the football community a couple of days ago when he said "I think 2022 will be my last World Cup" .
These words made everyone in Paris and Brazil panic. Marquinhos, who knows well Neymar as they play together at PSG and Brazil, talked to 'TNT' and tried to explain these words.
"People talk a lot and Neymar feels like they don't understand him. He doesn't know what will happen after the 2022 World Cup, he doesn't know if he will be able to maintain his best form for four more years", he explained.
Despite his comments, he also wanted to make sure everyone knows that Neymar is focused on the present: "He is focussed on playing football, and he will play next game, God willing".
"We need to have great performances both for PSG and Brazil. There is a long journey ahead of us before even thinking about the next World Cup. We need to remain calm and take things step by step", said the center-back.
