Erling Haaland has reportedly told those close to him that a Premier League transfer – amid links with Manchester United – would prove perfect for his career.
The striker continues to enjoy blistering form for Borussia Dortmund, who he chose carefully. Indeed, he had the world at his feet after his astronomical rise at RB Salzburg in the final months of 2019.
He could have moved to Old Trafford, but he felt the move to Dortmund would serve him better.
Nevertheless, after hitting 70 goals in 68 games, transfer links with a move to England have not gone away.
United still reportedly have interest in Haaland. They have plugged a gap up top with Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo, but they may wish for a long-term striker signing.
