Juventus is having a tough time trying to readjust after Ronaldo's departure. The Italian side was used to playing for the Portuguese star and now they have to get used to playing without him since he left for Manchester United in the summer.
Chiellini discussed Ronaldo's departure. The Euro 2020 winner claimed that Cristiano's departure was difficult for the team, especially because he left on the last days of the transfer market.
"CR7 left the 28th August. If he had left, for example, the 1st August it would have been better for us. We would have more time to adapt and digest the news. We could have started the season in a better way", said 'DAZN'.
The Juventus squad did not expect the news, however, Chiellini claims that in the end, it wasn't that big of a deal. "The news was not difficult to digest, but we were shocked. In my opinion, his departure cost us a couple of points on the first couple of games", Chiellini claimed.
