Bernardo Silva has insisted that it was a good decision for Cristiano Ronaldo to rejoin Manchester United despite coming close to signing for Manchester City this summer.
Ronaldo completed a move back to United on deadline day, though City were also in the running for his signature late in the transfer window.
But Silva says that the move back to Old Trafford was good for Ronaldo because of his history with the Red Devils, and claimed that City weren't heartbroken by his decision.
"It's a good move for him. We weren't [saying 'oh no']. It's his choice and a good move for him," Silva said, via the Manchester Evening News.
"He played at Man United when he was younger and it's nice, almost at the end - I don't know when he is going to finish - to go back to Man United.
