Gary Neville warns Erik ten Hag

Former Manchester United defender Garry Neville has warned incoming Manchester United supervisor Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag has decided not to take any excursion and begun work straight away this week after the quit of the Eredivisie season and Neville has warned the Dutchman to have a rest if he is to prevail at Old Trafford.

"I assume if he’s coming over for a brief period of time… the players are handiest going to be there for a week, (he needs to) sit down down with the gamers one to 1 and get to recognise them. But I hope he goes on vacation for multiple weeks and receives a few spoil due to the fact the job’s big at United and the seasons are long.

“So I desire this week is to get to meet the team of workers due to the fact the gamers will all disappear after this week. I’m hoping it’s a ‘learning you’ trip as opposed to sitting down and starting to have a look at processes and all that stuff.

“He desires a wreck; it’s an extended season, he’s got a huge task in the front of him and he’ll want that relaxation come next season. He’ll want to be clean, however I’m certain he’ll know that," Neville informed Sky Sports.

While Ten Hag is already in England, Ralf Rangnick remains in rate and could oversee the club's remaining game of the season towards Crystal Palace on Sunday.
