Harry Kane acknowledges dip in form but insists he's giving '110%'

England and Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has admitted that his performances 'haven't been there' for club and country this season, but played down any suggestions that his poor form is due to a failed move to Manchester City in the summer.

The 28-year-old looked set to join the Citizens after asking to leave Spurs, but the two clubs couldn't come to an agreement over a deal, giving the striker no other option than to return to action for the Lilywhites.

He has since struggled to hit the net for the north Londoners, and failed to score for the first time in 15 qualification matches, as Gareth Southgate's men laboured to a 1-1 draw with Hungary in Tuesday's clash at Wembley Stadium.

Kane's blank naturally raised questions over his form and poor start to the campaign at club level, but when asked whether a summer of speculation has caused his slump, the England star laughed off the suggestions, noting he's 'still scored nine goals this season'.

"It’s natural that people think like that, people are entitled to their opinion," Kane began.
