Mohamed Salah, according to former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher, has earned the right to stay at Anfield. The ex-player urged the Reds to look at his numbers and offer him a new contract in his piece for 'The Telegraph.' They'll be sorry if they don't.
Salah's deal with Liverpool expires in 2023, but with the number of goals he has scored, the club may have to seriously consider renewing his contract.
Jamie Carragher, one of Liverpool's best former footballers, believes this. In his column for 'The Telegraph,' he stated, "It would be a tremendous miscalculation if we continued on and Salah ended up going for free."
He recognizes, though, that Liverpool cannot just hand him everything he desires: "I understand that it's not as simple as saying 'we'll give him everything he desires."
In any event, Carragher is unmistakable: the Reds have one of their best players in recent memory: "Salah must be included in any team that aspires to be the best of all time. For someone who isn't a center forward, his numbers are astounding "He came to a conclusion.
Salah has currently made 211 appearances for Liverpool, scoring a total of 133 goals. An amount that, if they let him, will continue to rise game after game.
