Bakayoko has returned to Milan on loan.

Tiemoue Bakayoko has returned to Milan from Chelsea, signing a two-year loan contract with the Serie A club.
Bakayoko previously played for the Rossoneri in the 2018-19 season, making 42 appearances in all competitions and scoring a single goal under Gennaro Gattuso.

Last season, the 27-year-old also spent time in Italy, this time with Napoli, where he was reunited with Gattuso.
The Frenchman, though, is returning to Milan, where he will play alongside former Chelsea teammates Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud at San Siro.

He will stay with Milan until 2023, according to the club, who confirmed there is an obligation for a permanent transfer provided specific requirements are reached.

Bakayoko hasn't played for Chelsea since starting in the FA Cup final win against Manchester United in May 2018, when Eden Hazard scored the game's only goal in Antonio Conte's final game in command.
During that season, he appeared in 43 games, scoring three goals and dishing out the same amount of assists.

Chelsea bought Bakayoko after his outstanding performances for Monaco in the 2016-17 season when they finished second to PSG in Ligue 1 and advanced to the Champions League semi-finals.
