Everton has outbid Dutch giants Ajax for the services of Tottenham Hotspur winger Steven Bergwijn.
The Dutchman is said to be one of the players placed on sale by using Spurs with the participant keen on extra sport time ahead of the 2022 summer season World Cup in Qatar.
While the player is stated to be eager on returning to Ajax, Everton wants him as a substitute for Richarlison who is stated to be on his way out of Goodison Park. According to Mike Verweiij in De Telegraaf they’ve suggested a better transfer charge than Ajax.
While Ajax has been the simplest group interested in the player, the appearance of Everton is a prospect Spurs want to pursue as they experience they are able to get more money on the participant if he have been to remain in the Premier League.
Overigens klopt het niet dat @StevenBergwijn door Tottenham Hotspur is aangeboden bij #Everton. De club uit Liverpool is al weken concreet. Maar het eerste (persoonlijke) bod kwam niet in de buurt van dat van #Ajax.Https://t.Co/cRQweWShG9
According to Verweij, Everton has now not handiest submitted a suggestion that’s in the direction of Tottenham’s valuation, and has beaten Ajax on private wages. Verweij disputes the claims in the English media yesterday that said that Spurs had supplied Stevie to Everton as a makeweight for Richarlison and that their hobby in Bergwijn has been recognized for weeks now.
Verweij also notes that Bergwijn is being tracked via both Manchester United and Newcastle. Let’s wish it doesn’t come to both of these clubs being options.
