Kylian Mbappe, the French World Cup winner, was warned on Wednesday that he needs to add a dash of humility to his remarkable goal-scoring abilities "if he wants to be appreciated."
Metz coach Frederic Antonetti gave the advise after his side needed a stoppage time winner to beat the bottom club 2-1 and keep their perfect start to the domestic season intact.
"If Kylian Mbappe wants to be appreciated, he needs to behave better," Antonetti stated.
"I adore this player; he is incredibly strong, but he might use a more humble side."
Antonetti was responding to a question about his goalie Alexandre Oukidja receiving a yellow card for confronting Mbappe after the winning goal was scored.
"Mbappe was non-existent in the game," Antonetti stated.
