Tottenham could have South American players available to face Newcastle

Tottenham expect to have their South American players available for their trip to Newcastle on Sunday.

Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero, Emerson Royal and Davinson Sanchez all jetted off to the other side of the world to feature for their international sides, and initially were expected to miss this weekend's upcoming fixture with the freshly monied Magpies.

While Liverpool are likely to be without Brazilians Alisson and Fabinho for their game on Saturday, Spurs have another 24 hours to get their players ready for the trip up north.

The Telegraph report that the returning players will come back via private jet to be assessed by Tottenham. None of the quadruple of players were given early releases by their nations and had differing levels of involvement in the games.

Lo Celso and Romero starred as Argentina dispatched Uruguay 3-0, while Emerson and Sanchez were unused substitutes for Brazil and Colombia respectively. The latter pair may be in a better position to play on Sunday if they go unused again in the next round of fixtures.
