Gerard Pique spoke to 'Movistar+' to talk about the most important aspects of the 'Clasico' given Barcelona and Real Madrid's current for. For the Barca defender, it is not just another game.
"'El Clasico' is more than three points. It's not just a simple game because beating the big rival always gives you strength and confidence. The message that you give is that you can beat Real Madrid and then compete for La Liga. The match is important and we come into this on a good run. We are well prepared," he said.
The Barca captain did not want to talk about favourites because in a game of such importance and given the history there is, there can't be one. However, Pique was more than happy to let Madrid be considered the favourites.
"If Real Madrid want to be the favourites, we'll give them the favourites tag without a problem. There are no favourites in a 'Clasico' and it has been shown. I think both of us are in good form and we've had our moments of crisis, but we are up there in La Liga and fighting back in the Champions League."
