Juan Mata has despatched an emotional message to Manchester United fanatics as he leaves the membership after eight years.&#one hundred sixty;
The Spaniard joined the Reds in January 2014 from Premier League competitors, Chelsea, and has been a key member of the team because then.
The 34-year-old played his ultimate suit for United of their closing fixture of the 2021/22 season, away to Crystal Palace on 22 May.
"It has taken me some time to process the change this is occurring in my existence," wrote Mata. "This is a message that, for many moments over the last years, I never thought I would be writing but, of route, all proper matters come to an stop and my time as a Manchester United participant has just finished.
"It could be not possible for me to express in this article all of the emotions that I had been experiencing over the past weeks however, to sum it up, I would love to mention I am the proudest man in the world having represented this specific membership for the final eight-and-a-half seasons.
"It is something I could by no means have dreamt of, once I changed into little, as it felt too distant for a child in Spain to, someday, play for one of the pleasant clubs in the history of soccer however, every now and then, fact exceeds dreams.
