From the look of things it is difficult for the blues to recall Romelu Lukaku from his loan at Inter in January. Chelsea will have to bring someone new to replace him. During the summer they brought in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a possible replacement.
Chelsea spent a huge sum of about £97.5m to buy Romelu Lukaku from Inter in 2021. His performance didn't quite match Chelsea expetation. However he did well at Inter with 64 goals in 95 appearances.
Chelsea are negotiating Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig who missed the world cup dued to injury. He is not expected to make appearnces until summer.
Chelsea had already planned to sign a forward in January before Broja's injury. The Blues are ambitious to sign Rafael Leao, who AC Milan are not prepared to let go mid-season, and Joao Felix. Co-owner Todd Boehly has not ruled out free agent Cristiano Ronaldo, but he will defer to coach Graham Potter, who is less interested.
