Alarm bells ringing as pundit comes to grim conclusion on Kane, Tottenham

Harry Kane should take the blame if Tottenham fail to make the top six and he has not scored enough goals, according to a pundit.

The 28-year-old has made himself – on his day – one of the best strikers in world football. However, this season, he has only netted one Premier League goal in eight games.

That strike came in the recent 3-2 win over Newcastle. One pundit subsequently claimed that, as has happened in the past, Kane has begun an exciting goalscoring run.

But he failed to find the net against West Ham on Sunday, the England captain having a header saved by Lukasz Fabianski.

While he did have a chance to score against the Hammers, Frank McAvennie has insisted that Kane is not doing enough to warrant a good performance.
